Alvin Greene stirs controversy in South Carolina US Senate bid - by Bruce Tyson - Helium

The charges against Alvin Greene involve a case where Greene allegedly showed pornographic images to a University of South Carolina student and asked to be invited to her room. The felony obscenity charges carry potential prison time of up to five years, but do not prevent him from holding federal office. South Carolina bars felons from holding elected office.

In addition to the felony charge against him, Greene was forced out of the Army last year after a 13 year military career during which "things just weren't working," according to ABC News.
